Level Access is seeking a Security Engineer to join its information security team, reporting to the Senior Director of Information Security. The role focuses on defending the company's digital accessibility platform against threats while maintaining the highest security standards.
Key responsibilities include:
**Security Operations & Incident Response**: Perform initial triage of security alerts and events across disparate systems to determine severity and drive response to potential business-impacting incidents. Manage second-line security alert handling and threat defense.
**Vulnerability Management**: Monitor and analyze vulnerability management tools and feeds, provide remediation guidance to downstream engineering and operations teams, and maintain technical risk at acceptable levels.
**Security Awareness Program**: Design and operate the security awareness program, including course development, phishing simulations, reporting, and user support to strengthen the human element of security.
**Compliance & Audit Support**: Provide technical support for internal and external compliance audits, gather evidence for security governance activities, and support stakeholders in audit preparation.
**AI & Automation**: Leverage AI tools and automation techniques to enhance compliance processes, streamline operations, and improve overall security efficiency.
**Risk Mitigation Projects**: Undertake small projects to mitigate security risks and support broader company objectives.
**Required Qualifications**: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field with 1–3 years of information security experience (or 4–6 years equivalent work experience). Solid understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Microsoft 365). Experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, vulnerability scanners). Familiarity with SaaS application development and modern software engineering practices. Experience in professional IT environments supporting remote workforces. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
**Desired Qualifications**: Interest in or experience with compliance and data privacy. Security certifications. Understanding of web accessibility.
This is a full-time salaried position with competitive benefits, bonus opportunities, and unlimited vacation. The role is remote in Poland but requires consistent daily overlap with EST business hours for collaboration with North America-based stakeholders.
