Level Access is seeking a Security Engineer to join their information security team, reporting to the Senior Director of Information Security. The role is fully remote, based in Mexico, with required overlap during EST business hours for collaboration with North America-based stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include triaging second-line security alerts and responding to potential business-impacting incidents; operating vulnerability management tools and providing remediation guidance to business teams; managing the security awareness program including course design, phishing simulations, and user support; supporting internal and external stakeholders during security governance activities and compliance audits; and leveraging AI and automation techniques to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field with 1–3 years of information security experience (or 4–6 years equivalent work experience). Required skills include solid understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Microsoft 365); hands-on experience with business AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Atlassian Rovo, or Anthropic Claude; familiarity with security tools including SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, vulnerability scanners, and security assessment tools; exposure to SaaS application building and modern software engineering practices; and experience supporting remote workforces with SaaS-based business tools.
Desired qualifications include interest in or experience with compliance and data privacy, relevant security certifications, and understanding of web accessibility. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and collaboration skills, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous learning in cybersecurity.
