Salary: USD 164,594 - 246,788 / annual
Echodyne is seeking a Security Architect to lead security initiatives across the organization. The role focuses on threat modeling, secure design reviews, and security architecture guidance for products and infrastructure. You will partner with engineering, product, and platform teams to embed security early in the development lifecycle and improve secure-by-design practices company-wide.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and facilitate threat modeling activities for products, systems, and technical initiatives
- Conduct secure design reviews and work with engineering teams to identify and mitigate security risks early
- Provide practical security architecture guidance for new features, services, and infrastructure changes
- Document security risks, recommended mitigations, and architectural decisions
- Collaborate across teams to advance security practices and influence technical direction
Required qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience leading threat modeling and secure design discussions
- Strong understanding of application, cloud, and infrastructure security principles
- Ability to translate security risks into clear technical recommendations for engineering teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desired experience includes:
- Partnership with software engineering teams in fast-paced development environments
- Familiarity with security frameworks, design patterns, and risk assessment methodologies
- Experience influencing technical direction without direct authority
Echodyne develops compact solid-state radar technology using metamaterials for autonomous vehicles, uncrewed aircraft, border security, critical infrastructure protection, and smart cities. The technology is export-controlled; U.S. citizenship, green card, or asylum/refugee status required.
