Veeam Software, the Data and AI Trust Company, is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join the Securiti Sciences team in Karachi. This role goes beyond traditional QA or development—you'll design and implement robust automation strategies (API, UI, and beyond), analyze system architecture and data flows to ensure comprehensive test coverage, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed quality upstream in the development lifecycle.
You'll be responsible for driving continuous improvement in development processes, making strategic automation decisions based on system architecture understanding, and identifying issues at scale. The ideal candidate combines strong programming skills with deep knowledge of automation frameworks, distributed systems, and scalable architectures. You'll work as a technical consultant and enabler of quality, partnering across teams to champion quality improvements throughout the SDLC.
Minimum qualifications include 2+ years of software test engineering experience, preferably at an enterprise SaaS organization where you've handled application and/or security testing of web and network applications. You should bring a proactive mindset, passion for quality excellence, and the ability to think strategically about test coverage and automation approaches. This is an individual contributor role focused on technical depth and quality leadership.
