Nutanix is seeking an SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with 2-4 years of experience to join the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. The IAM team builds secure, scalable authentication and authorization services that power access across Nutanix's Hybrid Cloud product portfolio, deployed across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
In this role, you will serve as a quality gatekeeper, ensuring product releases meet the highest quality standards. You will design and develop comprehensive testing frameworks, create and maintain test cases, manage test environments, and provide detailed metrics on test coverage and quality status.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing automation testing frameworks
- Building test tools and maintaining test beds
- Developing automated test cases using Python, C++, Perl, Go, or Java
- Participating actively in code reviews and coding practices
- Working with automation tools such as Selenium, Jenkins, and REST APIs
- Collaborating with engineering teams to enable quality releases with every commit
- Discovering defects early in the development cycle
Required qualifications:
- 2-4 years of relevant QA automation experience
- Strong Python programming skills (or proficiency in C++, Perl, Go, Java)
- Expertise with Selenium, Jenkins, REST APIs, and SDKs
- Solid understanding of Linux systems, including process, memory, and I/O management
- Strong data structures and algorithms knowledge
- Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks
- Good understanding of Kubernetes
- Self-starter mentality with ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
The role is hybrid, with expectations to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week in Bengaluru to foster collaboration and team alignment.
