General Proximity is a seed-stage biotech company developing induced proximity medicines (IPMs)—a novel drug discovery platform that uses bifunctional molecules to co-opt cellular machinery for modulating previously "undruggable" targets. You will join as a hands-on DMPK (drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics) scientist, leading the company's DMPK function while remaining deeply engaged in technical execution. Your responsibilities include designing and executing DMPK studies across the small-molecule portfolio, interpreting and communicating data to project teams, and serving as a key scientific contributor in cross-functional settings.
Key activities include shaping scientific approaches, supporting regulatory strategy, and advancing programs from lead optimization through IND-enabling studies. You will work closely with medicinal chemistry, structural biology, pharmacology, and toxicology teams to translate DMPK insights into actionable program decisions.
The ideal candidate brings several years of DMPK experience from pharma or biotech, with solid expertise in ADME, in vivo PK, and PK/PD modeling. You are comfortable working independently, collaborating across disciplines, and taking ownership of scientific direction. Familiarity with the unique DMPK challenges of bifunctional molecules and induced proximity mechanisms is valuable.
