Salary: USD 120,000 - 140,000 / annual

Alamar Biosciences is seeking a Scientist I to join the Technology Access Program team. The role focuses on designing, executing, and delivering NULISA immunoassay projects that measure critical protein biomarkers from liquid samples for early disease detection. You will work cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, and Marketing teams to advance the company's mission of enabling breakthrough protein biomarker detection at high sensitivity and multiplexing. Key responsibilities include designing and conducting NULISA immunoassay experiments to assess biomarkers across diverse biological matrices; optimizing assay parameters for sensitivity, specificity, detectability, and precision; troubleshooting technical challenges through root-cause analysis and implementing corrective strategies; and collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate project delivery. Required qualifications: Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related discipline (M.S. with 3+ years experience or B.A./B.S. with 5+ years experience also considered). Hands-on experience executing and optimizing immunoassays such as ELISA is essential. Familiarity with molecular biology methods (qPCR, ddPCR) and experience with high-sensitivity platforms (Simoa, MSD, Luminex) is preferred. Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced collaborative environment are critical. Excellent communication skills including data presentation and technical documentation required. Knowledge of biomarker research, assay validation, or clinical sample testing is desirable.
