Salesforce Professional Services is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to serve as a strategic advisor and platform expert to the company's largest, most complex enterprise customers in the public sector. This role combines deep technical expertise with client-facing advisory responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include: serving as a trusted advisor to clients; identifying and leading internal strategic initiatives to grow the consulting practice; guiding customers and colleagues in deploying emerging technologies that drive business value; managing customer expectations and negotiating solutions to complex problems; reviewing and correcting project direction to keep programs on track; working collaboratively with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and clients to architect technology solutions; and contributing to program vision while advising on enabling technologies including the Salesforce Platform.
You will leverage strong application design skills combined with expertise in data, integration, and security architecture. The role requires excellent presentation and communication abilities, with the capacity to effectively present to and influence C-level executives. You'll analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration, working through complex problems with resourcefulness and innovation.
Minimum qualifications: ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian Government Security Clearance (active clearance not required at application); public sector industry experience; 8+ years enterprise architecture or consulting experience; 4+ years leading Salesforce Core Projects; strong application, data, integration, and security architecture skills; proven ability to present effectively to diverse audiences; detail-oriented with rapid learning capability; strong written and verbal communication; proven business process optimization experience; strong integration concepts and patterns expertise.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline (equivalent work experience considered); ability to convey best practices at various organizational levels; application design and development background; potential travel requirements; strong Enterprise Architecture background; Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or multiple Salesforce Architecture certifications; Salesforce product certifications (Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant); experience with AI-powered development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Agentforce for Developers); and experience leading technical teams or workstreams.
