Salary: USD 116,000 - 145,000 / annual
Zscaler is seeking a Salesforce Developer to join the Information Technology Business Applications team in a hybrid role based in San Jose, CA. You will report directly to the Sr. Director of Application Engineering.
In this position, you will drive the design, development, and scaling of robust Salesforce solutions that empower internal stakeholders and optimize business processes. You will leverage expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and platform best practices to build critical applications, conduct rigorous testing, and maintain code quality for high system performance and seamless data integrity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and customize user interface components using Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura, ensuring alignment with the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) and upgrading legacy Visualforce pages
- Design and maintain highly efficient Apex Controllers, Triggers, and SOQL/SOSL queries while adhering to Salesforce Governor Limits and development best practices
- Champion code quality by refactoring existing Apex classes, ensuring context-aware execution, and utilizing JavaScript Helper functions to maintain clean controllers
- Execute robust testing strategies by writing comprehensive Apex test classes to achieve high-quality test coverage, managing seamless deployments using VS Code and Git
- Perform routine data administration, bulk uploads, and environment synchronization using Data Loader to maintain data integrity across all environments
You should navigate ambiguity with confidence, operate with strong ownership and integrity, be a proactive problem solver energized by complex challenges, maintain deep customer obsession for internal and external stakeholders, and demonstrate high execution bias in a rapid-growth environment.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience with a background in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Experience leveraging generative AI tools (such as Copilot, Gemini, or ChatGPT) to accelerate Salesforce development, optimize Apex code quality, or write test classes
- Expertise in developing Lightning Components with CSS and design parameters
- Strong knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem, architecture, and core platform capabilities
- Experience programming in Apex, Visualforce pages, LWC, and Aura Component development
- U.S. citizenship required due to the nature of customers assigned to this role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Platform Developer I (PDI) certification
