Salary: USD 80,000 - 90,000 / annual

Newsela is seeking a Sales Representative to join the Schoolytics by EveryDay Labs (SbE) regional sales team. You will own a territory and manage the full sales lifecycle, building relationships with district-level decision makers and driving new business and expansion opportunities in the K-12 education market. Key responsibilities include: - Owning your territory and managing the entire sales lifecycle from prospecting through closing - Developing territory business plans, evaluating funding landscapes, and tailoring sales strategies to align with district initiatives - Pipeline management, forecasting, and lead generation campaign design - Meeting virtually with school and district leaders to present Schoolytics' solutions (assessment, data warehousing, and MTSS tools), negotiate terms, and secure agreements - Becoming well-versed in your territory's funding, state initiatives, demographics, and K-12 education landscape to inform sales strategy - Achieving revenue targets while collaborating with cross-functional teams to scale the national sales organization - Exercising discretion and independent judgment on customer needs, solution structuring, and negotiations within established guidelines - Representing Newsela in the market with significant autonomy and making recommendations that impact strategy and results You will work with an enthusiastic team focused on bringing engaging, culturally responsive learning content to K-12 classrooms nationwide. The role requires approximately 25% travel to meet with customers and prospects, with flexibility to work hours that accommodate customer needs. Most accounts are in Eastern and Central time zones. Requirements: - 2+ years of full-cycle (prospecting through closing) K-12 EdTech sales experience with a track record of hitting or exceeding large sales quotas (required) - Specific experience selling core curriculum, Assessment, Data warehouse, and/or MTSS in the K-12 EdTech market (required) - Proven ability to build a book of business from scratch with extensive networking, prospecting, and pipeline generation experience - Demonstrated experience as a strategic territory manager with executive presence to lead consultative district conversations and navigate multiple stakeholders - Experience with high-volume district sales and building a book of business from scratch - Self-starter mentality with proven ability to drive sales quickly to close and thrive in fast-paced environments - Highly organized, adaptable, fast learner who hits the ground running, maintains high service standards, and meets sales goals in agile environments - Excited about face-to-face customer and prospect meetings - Open to flexible working hours to meet customer and business needs - Experience using AI tools to drive efficiency and productivity - Legally authorized to work in the US
