Salary: USD 87,615 - 146,025 / annual
Turnitin, a 25+ year-old global education technology company, is seeking a Sales Planning and Reporting Analyst to drive data-driven insights and operational excellence for the sales organization. This role sits at the intersection of sales strategy and analytics, partnering with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to optimize performance and achieve revenue targets.
You will own the full lifecycle of sales analytics: developing sales plans aligned with organizational objectives, analyzing performance metrics and market trends, creating accurate sales forecasts, and building automated dashboards and reports. Key responsibilities include coordinating the annual budget and forecasting reviews, analyzing historical sales data and pipeline metrics to identify opportunities, defining and tracking KPIs, and providing actionable insights to sales managers. You'll also conduct market research and competitive analysis, manage data integrity across CRM systems and databases, and support sales incentive administration.
This is a strategic role requiring strong communication skills to translate complex data into clear recommendations for leadership. You'll work independently and collaboratively across sales, marketing, finance, and product operations to ensure alignment of sales strategies with business goals. The position also involves process improvement initiatives, ad hoc analysis requests, and supporting operational integration of acquisitions.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field
- 5-7+ years proven experience in sales analytics, planning, or related roles
- Proficiency in data analysis tools: Tableau, Alteryx, Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of sales processes, CRM systems (Salesforce strongly preferred), and sales methodologies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex data findings clearly
- Ability to work with complex data sets and create impactful reports for data-driven decision making
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- High degree of adaptability to changing business needs
