Salary: EUR 45,100 - 72,910 / annual
Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a Sales Consultant for Oncology in the Southern Netherlands region. You will drive business performance and expand market share for surgical stapling and energy products used in oncology procedures. Working as part of a collaborative sales team of 6 consultants (covering Oncology, Obesity, and Wound Closure), you will report to a sales manager and work alongside product managers and business development managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sell innovative medical products to existing and new customers, growing the business across your territory
- Develop customer-centric relationships, understanding clinical stakeholder needs and delivering sustained value
- Gather market insights and design innovative solutions to enable sales growth
- Define value-based selling projects as part of account plans to drive customer acquisition
- Facilitate hands-on training sessions for surgeons, specialists, nurses, and OR management to increase product knowledge and proper usage
- Provide specialized guidance on optimal product use in various surgical procedures
- Generate sales analyses and proactively adapt plans to enhance performance
- Communicate product value using evidence-based approaches
- Attend congresses, user meetings, and events to deepen market understanding
You will be part of Johnson & Johnson's Surgery franchise, which develops surgical and interventional solutions for prevalent conditions including obesity, cardiovascular disease, and cancer. The role emphasizes value-based care, a key pillar of Dutch healthcare, requiring you to sell not just products but their clinical and economic added value.
Requirements:
- Master's degree or equivalent demonstrated through relevant work experience
- Minimum 3+ years of hospital sales experience
- Self-starter who works independently, identifies opportunities, and connects easily with diverse stakeholders
- Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
- Valid driving license (category B)
- Resident of the Southern Netherlands region
- Results-driven with passion for business accomplishments
- Accountability, business acumen, and goal attainment orientation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge and relationships in the surgery/oncology field
- Understanding of the Dutch healthcare system
- Experience working in the operating room (OR)
