Sierra is a leading platform for customer-facing AI agents, serving major brands including The GAP, Rocket Mortgage, SoFi, Sutter Health, and SoftBank. The company is headquartered in San Francisco with growing offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
In this role, you will own the commission platform end-to-end, managing plan configuration, crediting rules, user access, and annual plan changes. You'll build and maintain critical data flows between Salesforce, the commission tool, HRIS, and payroll systems to ensure bookings, roster changes, and payouts remain synchronized. You'll translate new plan designs, deal types, and SPIFs into working system logic, thoroughly testing implementations before go-live.
Key responsibilities include automating manual processes, building self-serve dashboards for attainment and payout cost visibility for reps and leaders, and maintaining comprehensive documentation of all rules and processes. You'll partner closely with Accounting on monthly close activities, delivering commission accruals, reconciling commissionable bookings to billing and revenue, and supporting commission capitalization. You'll also ensure employee changes (hires, transfers, leaves, exits) are accurately reflected in the commission system and manage role-based access controls to protect sensitive pay data.
REQUIREMENTS:

- Hands-on experience administering a sales compensation platform (CaptivateIQ, Xactly, Spiff, Varicent, or similar), including building plans and calculation logic from scratch
- Strong Salesforce knowledge: objects, fields, reports, and understanding of how opportunity and booking data flows into commission calculations
- Working knowledge of commission accounting, including accruals, month-end close, and reconciling payouts to the general ledger
- Experience integrating an HRIS (e.g., Workday) with a commission platform and sound judgment handling sensitive employee and pay data
PREFERRED:
- Experience managing a commission platform at a fast-growing company
