Coder is seeking a Sales Compensation Architect to own the design, administration, and continuous improvement of incentive compensation across the go-to-market organization. This is a high-autonomy individual contributor role reporting to the VP of Finance & Monetization.
You will design and maintain incentive compensation plans for all GTM roles (AEs, SEs, SDRs, CSMs, Sales Leaders), partnering with Sales leadership and Finance to align plan mechanics with business strategy. You'll own quota and territory modeling end-to-end, working with Sales Operations, Sales leadership, and Finance to set targets grounded in data. You will administer the full commission lifecycle: create and deliver plans, calculate commissions, validate payouts, resolve disputes, and ensure accurate and timely payments in coordination with Payroll and Accounting.
You'll partner with FP&A to build and maintain commission forecasting models that feed into the company's operating plan and board reporting. You'll work with Accounting on commission accruals, ASC 606 and ASC 340 considerations, and audit support for compensation-related items. Collaboration with Engineering & IT is critical—you'll help build, test, and iterate on Coder's internal commission platform, translating plan design into system logic, validating calculations, and driving the tool's roadmap from a business-requirements perspective.
Additional responsibilities include managing ongoing plan administration (onboarding new hires, processing plan changes, maintaining data integrity), handling exception requests and commission disputes with sound judgment, building reporting and dashboards for Sales leadership and Finance visibility, and documenting processes and policies to support scaling.
Coder is the leading platform for AI development infrastructure, enabling enterprises to securely run human and AI-driven development workflows in consistent, governed environments. The company provides self-hosted, agent-ready workspaces that unify developer productivity and platform governance.
