Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is seeking a Rust Software Engineer to join the Air Dominance & Strike team, which develops aerial and multi-domain robotic systems including Fury (unmanned fighter jet) and Barracuda (air-breathing cruise missile). You will contribute to Lattice for Mission Autonomy, Anduril's software platform enabling autonomous collaboration across multiple robotic systems. The role involves building production-grade software solutions for autonomy systems, including computer vision, motion planning, SLAM, controls, estimation, and secure communications. You will work closely with specialist teams in Perception, Motion Planning, Hardware, and Test Engineering to solve complex autonomy challenges. Required qualifications include 3+ years of production Rust experience in Linux environments, a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field, and eligibility for a U.S. Top Secret security clearance. You must have experience building data-intensive software solutions, navigating complex codebases, and are willing to travel up to 30% for real-world testing and deployment. Preferred experience includes backgrounds in Physics/Mathematics, multi-agent autonomous systems deployment, behavior tree development, flight systems and safety-critical software, distributed communication networks, and military systems knowledge.
