Salary: USD 151,000 - 243,800 / annual

Johnson & Johnson's Shockwave Medical division is hiring a Regional Sales Director to lead the commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) technology in the Los Angeles and Greater Southern California region. This is a field-based hybrid role with up to 50% travel as needed; the position is fully remote but requires you to be located in the territory. You will build and develop a regional sales team focused on delivering best-in-class performance for revenue and growth in the medical device space, specifically around Shockwave's differentiated sonic pressure wave technology for treating calcified cardiovascular disease. You'll work closely with Marketing, R&D, and the Area VP of Sales to identify market needs and execute go-to-market strategies for new products. Key responsibilities include: - Building, overseeing, and driving a team of regional field sales representatives to maximize revenues and exceed sales goals - Forecasting annual, quarterly, and monthly sales revenue streams accurately - Identifying, developing, and implementing effective sales plans and strategies - Providing coaching, advice, and support to help individuals meet and exceed defined sales objectives - Training sales representatives to structure deals that exceed revenue expectations - Serving as escalation point for issues beyond team authority and resolving team conflicts - Performing direct sales activities for the assigned geographic area - Developing and testing new sales strategies and tactics - Keeping abreast of product and industry knowledge and disseminating to the team - Collaborating with Marketing on go-to-market strategies - Participating in sales team meetings, management meetings, and quarterly business reviews This role offers a competitive base salary, variable compensation through a highly competitive sales incentive program, car allowance, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, retirement plans, and generous time off (up to 120 hours vacation, 40 hours sick time, 13 days holiday, 40 hours personal/family time annually). Requirements: - BA/BS degree or equivalent relevant experience - Proven track record of leading sales in the medical device or disposable device markets - 5+ years of demonstrated success leading and managing a sales team and exceeding team quotas - Strong sales, recruiting, leadership, organization, planning, and prioritization skills - Results-oriented with multiple years of meeting or exceeding quota and experience bringing innovative, market-defining products to market - Good interpersonal skills to align and foster positive working relationships across the organization (internal and external) - Ability to develop and critically analyze a sales pipeline and forecast - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to travel over 50% if needed - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities - Ability to operate as a team and/or independently while demonstrating flexibility to changing requirements
