Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced autonomy, AI, computer vision, and sensor fusion. The Air Dominance & Strike (AD&S) Vehicle Software team develops software for autonomous robotics systems including the Fury unmanned fighter jet and Barracuda family of advanced effects.
In this role, you will write and maintain core libraries and services that perform critical functions for collaborative teams of robots, such as motion deconfliction and contingency management of fast-moving air vehicles. You'll own major feature development and rollout of large, complex features for production systems—recent examples include developing terminal-phase autonomy for various air vehicles and creating test plans on live surrogates.
You'll work closely with Anduril and third-party vehicle hardware teams, as well as operational subject matter experts (fighter pilots, UAV operators, etc.) to align on requirements during product development and iterate toward final designs.
Required: U.S. Top Secret security clearance eligibility; BS in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; proven understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization; experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems; experience working with and testing electrical and mechanical systems; 3+ years of C++ or Rust experience in a Linux development environment.
Preferred: MS or PhD; experience in motion planning, perception, localization, mapping, controls, or related system performance metrics; Python, Rust, and/or Go experience; embedded and physical device programming; multi-agent UAV coordination; complex frame transformation problems such as target localization or multi-degree-of-freedom robotic arms.
