Salary: USD 160,000 - 260,000 / annual

Hadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize America by combining AI, advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing for aerospace and defense companies. The company helps customers build rockets, satellites, aircraft, ships, and mission-critical systems up to 10x faster at significantly lower cost. Following a $1.37B Series D at a $7.87B valuation, Hadrian is rapidly expanding its manufacturing footprint and scaling its Factory-as-a-Service platform. The Robotics Software Engineer will lead the design, development, and deployment of intelligent automation systems for manufacturing environments. This role focuses on scaling Hadrian's core machining business across multiple U.S. factories by building robotic systems that operators, technicians, and systems depend on daily. Key responsibilities include leading software design and development for robotic automation systems in manufacturing and industrial environments; collaborating with cross-functional teams (hardware, electrical, mechanical) to ensure tight integration between software and physical components; integrating software with hardware systems including PLCs, sensors, actuators, and industrial robots; developing and deploying algorithms for calibration, path optimization, object detection, and collision avoidance; interfacing with manufacturing operations to test, validate, and continuously improve deployed systems; and participating in reviews to shape engineering quality and best practices. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field with at least 5 years developing software for industrial or manufacturing robotics systems. Strong proficiency in C++ or Python is required, along with experience in motion control, trajectory generation, and robot kinematics/dynamics. The candidate should have experience leading cross-disciplinary teams and full product lifecycle ownership, with excellent communication and documentation abilities. Passion for advancing manufacturing automation through robotics innovation is essential. Note: ITAR compliance required—must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
