Anduril Industries is seeking a Robotics Software Engineer to join the Maneuver Dominance team, which develops multi-asset autonomy systems for autonomous platforms. In this role, you will design, develop, and integrate software that connects autonomous platforms with mission payloads, including stores management systems (SMS), networked devices, and hardware interfaces. You will architect APIs and data transport layers that move information reliably between vehicles, payloads, and ground systems in demanding operational environments. Key responsibilities include developing networked software that interacts with networking devices and managed networks; designing and implementing software that interfaces with stores management systems and payload subsystems; architecting APIs and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) using HTTP, REST, and gRPC; building and optimizing low-level data transport over UDP and TCP for reliable, low-latency communication; writing code that interfaces directly with hardware, bridging embedded devices and sensors with higher-level autonomy software; and collaborating cross-functionally with hardware, systems, vehicle, and payload teams. You will contribute across the entire software lifecycle, including prototyping, implementation, testing, and deployment. The role includes up to 25% travel to test, debug, and deploy systems in operational environments, and requires troubleshooting and resolving issues in deployed systems to ensure reliability and operational success. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field; 3+ years of hands-on experience developing production-grade software in C++ and/or Rust; experience building software that interacts with networking devices and managed networks; experience designing and implementing software APIs and ICDs; solid understanding of low-level data transport layers (UDP and TCP); experience writing code that interfaces with hardware; systems-level thinking and ability to navigate complex codebases; passion for mission-critical software; travel flexibility; and eligibility for US security clearance.
