Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced autonomy, AI, and robotics. The Air Dominance & Strike team develops aerial and multi-domain robotic systems, including Fury (unmanned fighter jet) and Barracuda (air-breathing cruise missile), powered by Lattice OS—an AI-powered operating system that integrates thousands of data streams into real-time 3D command and control.
In this role, you will write and maintain core libraries and services performing critical functions for collaborative teams of robots, such as motion deconfliction and contingency management of fast-moving air vehicles. You'll own major feature development and rollout of large, complex features—recent examples include terminal-phase autonomy for various air vehicles and test planning on live surrogates. You'll work closely with Anduril and third-party vehicle hardware teams, as well as operational subject matter experts (fighter pilots, UAV operators) to align on requirements and iterate toward final designs.
Required: U.S. Top Secret security clearance eligibility; BS in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; proven understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization; experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems; experience working with and testing electrical and mechanical systems; 3+ years C++ or Rust experience in a Linux development environment.
Preferred: MS or PhD; experience in motion planning, perception, localization, mapping, controls, or related system performance metrics; Python, Rust, or Go experience; embedded and physical device programming; multi-agent UAV coordination; complex frame transformation problems such as target localization or multi-degree-of-freedom robotic arms.
