ARX Robotics is seeking a Robotics SIL Simulation Engineer to design and develop Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) simulation environments for autonomous and semi-autonomous ground vehicles. You will build high-fidelity simulation infrastructure that enables robotic systems to be tested, validated, and improved before real-world deployment. Key responsibilities include: - Design and maintain SIL simulation environments for autonomous robotic platforms - Build and integrate virtual sensor and actuator models (LiDAR, cameras, IMUs, GNSS, etc.) - Develop realistic simulation scenarios for localization, navigation, control, and autonomous mission behaviors - Create automated simulation-based validation pipelines integrated into CI/CD workflows - Collaborate with robotics software, hardware, and systems teams to improve simulation fidelity - Analyze simulation-to-reality gaps and continuously improve simulation accuracy using field data - Translate field test observations into reproducible simulation scenarios for debugging - Support scalable validation workflows that accelerate development and deployment confidence - Contribute to clean, maintainable, well-documented simulation and testing infrastructure - Mentor team members and establish engineering best practices across simulation and validation workflows Required qualifications: - Strong C++ development skills and hands-on experience with ROS2-based robotics systems - Experience with robotics simulation platforms (Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Webots, or similar) - Solid understanding of robotic systems including sensors, actuators, embedded platforms, and real-time constraints - Experience developing automated testing frameworks and simulation-based validation workflows - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating simulation tests into automated systems - Understanding of communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, TCP/UDP, serial interfaces) - Strong Linux fundamentals and Docker-based engineering workflows - Strong debugging and analytical skills for investigating simulation-to-reality gaps - Academic background in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related field - Professional English fluency The company offers competitive compensation with bonus opportunity, 27-30 vacation days, employer-supported pension, learning and development support, and flexible benefits.
