RobCo is building autonomous industrial robotics solutions that combine hardware, software, and AI to automate complex manufacturing tasks. As Robotics Quality & Reliability Engineering Lead, you will serve as the strategic driver and operational backbone of RobCo's quality, reliability, and testing ecosystems. You will define end-to-end QA frameworks, test strategies, and reliability targets across engineering design, product development, and production. You'll establish and enforce strict gate-review criteria across Design, New Product Introduction (NPI), and Production phases to guarantee compliance with performance and safety standards. A key responsibility is bridging R&D and Manufacturing, working closely with Engineering and Operations to integrate quality standards throughout product lifecycles and End-of-Line (EOL) testing. You will lead and mentor a team of quality and test engineers, building a strong culture of quality excellence across multidisciplinary teams. You'll enable teams to own quality and reliability in their areas through transparent, metrics-based accountability frameworks and dashboards. You'll drive the evolution of testing capabilities by advancing Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) simulation environments. You'll develop quality metrics and track them across Product Development, Production, and Field Performance Analysis (e.g., MTBF, production yield rate), validating design expectations against field performance. During critical product launches, you'll step into execution to conduct high-impact testing, audit test setups, and validate key edge cases. Required qualifications include 6+ years of experience in quality engineering, test engineering, or systems reliability within robotics, industrial automation, autonomous systems, or complex mechatronics. You should have a degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable experience. A proven track record of building quality strategies, establishing quality gates, and leading or mentoring technical teams is essential. Technical understanding of hardware failure modes (thermal, mechanical, electrical/EMC), software quality principles, and automated test frameworks/scripting (Python, C++, PyTest) is required. Familiarity with HIL/SIL testing, functional safety standards (ISO 10218, ISO 13849), or AI/LLM-based test automation is a plus. You should have strong ownership mindset, be growth-oriented, and demonstrate proactive, pragmatic leadership. Very good English skills are required; German is a plus. RobCo offers flexible working hours, a modern office with optional work-from-home, Wellpass membership, regular team events, and a dynamic scale-up environment where you'll drive your own projects and see direct impact.
