Applied Intuition is a $15B-valued AI infrastructure company powering physical intelligence across automotive, defense, trucking, construction, mining, and agriculture. The Industrials team is seeking a Senior Robotics & Integration Engineer to lead the software and hardware platform that enables autonomous heavy machinery. In this role, you will own the vehicle platform end-to-end, spanning networking, time synchronization, sensor selection and drivers, middleware integration, embedded software, drive-by-wire systems, and low-level controls actuation. You'll architect and deliver full-system capabilities from 0→1 prototypes through production deployment on customer machines in harsh, real-world environments. Key responsibilities include: - Owning the complete vehicle platform stack: sensors, networking, middleware (ROS 2, DDS), embedded systems, and actuation - Architecting production-ready systems that integrate cross-functional work from electrical, firmware, and hardware teams - Adapting internal technologies into customer-specific products and managing field deployments - Leading and coordinating a team of engineers: setting technical direction, prioritizing workstreams, and managing cross-functional dependencies - Designing test rigs and validation infrastructure for hardware-in-the-loop and on-vehicle testing - Debugging complex interactions across the full stack to ensure reliability in real-world conditions - Engaging directly with customers to identify use cases, define requirements, and drive successful integrations Required qualifications: - 5+ years in robotics, systems integration, or platform software development with demonstrated technical leadership - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field - Deep hands-on experience across the robotics platform stack: sensors, networking, time synchronization, middleware, embedded systems - Strong C/C++ development on Linux, including debugging real-time systems - Experience with vehicle actuation, drive-by-wire systems, and controller integration - Strong understanding of electronic systems and debugging - Ability to coordinate multiple engineers and cross-functional teams Nice-to-have experience includes heavy machinery/off-road vehicles, automotive communication technologies (CAN, J1939, Ethernet/TSN, AUTOSAR), taking systems from prototype to production, customer-facing project delivery, firmware development, and adjacent skills (electrical design, CAD, PCB design).
