Salary: EUR 77,100 - 136,100 / annual
Join Apple's RF/Analog IC Layout team in Linz to work on cutting-edge cellular RF transceiver design. You'll be a key contributor to the layout of integrated circuits using innovative RF CMOS technologies, directly supporting the development of next-generation Apple products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Floor-planning in collaboration with RF IC design and RF system teams
- Layout of RF, analog, and digital blocks for RF ICs down to the transistor level
- Block-level and top-level layout through full verification flow
- Top-level layout integration, verification, and schedule management
- Collaboration with packaging experts to simulate RF de-sense and coupling mechanisms
- Layout reviews focusing on routing, signal path, IQ matching, and coupling
You'll need a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience. Strong proficiency with CALIBRE DRC, LVS, and ANTENNA-DRC tools is essential, along with fluency in CADENCE layout tools and English.
Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of custom RF/analog layout experience with deep sub-micron CMOS and FinFET technologies. Knowledge of layout techniques for device matching, parasitics reduction, RF shielding, and high-frequency routing is highly valued. Understanding of RF building blocks (LNAs, mixers, VCOs, DCOs, PAs) and effects like RC delay, electro-migration, and coupling is preferred. Excellent communication skills and experience working in multi-functional, international teams are important.
