Anduril Industries is seeking an RF Systems Engineer to join the Radio Frequency & Communications Engineering Services team in Costa Mesa. This role focuses on the full lifecycle of RF systems—design, simulation, build, fabrication, test, and field troubleshooting—supporting advanced defense technology platforms powered by Lattice OS, an AI-driven command and control system.
You will architect, design, integrate, test, and optimize communications hardware across diverse platforms and systems. Key responsibilities include configuring and evaluating RF systems and datalinks, developing RF link budgets and co-site analysis reports, creating RF system interconnect diagrams, and selecting/managing radio, RF component, cable, and antenna vendors. You'll support cross-functional engineering teams by providing communications expertise during vehicle-level trade-off studies and representing communications subsystems in system design optimization.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 7+ years of hands-on RF systems design, build, test, and troubleshooting experience. You must have deep knowledge of aviation communications systems, tactical communication systems, avionics integration into UAVs and ground vehicles, and practical experience with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters). Proficiency in RF system modeling/simulation, Python, and understanding of EMI/co-site/desense issues are essential. An active U.S. Secret security clearance is required, and the role involves 25–75% travel.
