Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking an experienced Staff RF Engineer to join the Battlespace Awareness Radar team. This role focuses on designing, testing, and deploying next-generation radar systems for U.S. and allied military applications.
You will own the design and development of advanced phased arrays and RF electronics for military radar systems, ensuring cutting-edge performance and reliability. Key responsibilities include leading testing, troubleshooting, and optimization efforts to meet rigorous performance requirements across various operating environments. You will mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical growth and ensuring quality across team deliverables.
Collaboration is central to this role—you'll work with cross-functional engineering teams to define radar architectures, system concepts, and end-to-end product requirements. You will conduct trade studies, RF simulations, and prototyping to drive innovation and ensure optimal system performance. You'll drive technical decision-making and contribute to programmatic strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives and mission success.
Additional responsibilities include staying ahead of emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain Anduril's technological edge, and supporting production ramp-up through design for manufacturing (DFM), design for testability (DFT), and supplier engagement.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field, 7+ years of professional experience developing RF electronics, phased arrays, antennas, or related radar electronics. You must be proficient in RF design tools (Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS), RF measurement equipment (Network Analyzers, Signal Analyzers), and PCB design tools (Altium). Strong knowledge of electronic systems engineering, proven ability to lead technical initiatives, and demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary teams are essential. You must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
