Lindblad Expeditions, a pioneer in expedition travel since 1966, is seeking a Revenue & Inventory Manager to lead revenue optimization across its global fleet of 20 ships and land operations. This role manages day-to-day revenue management operations, overseeing pricing, inventory, and promotional strategies across ship cabins, extensions, flights, and hotel nights.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee revenue management operations and guide the team in executing pricing, inventory, and promotional tactics responsive to market dynamics
- Monitor booking trends, market conditions, and KPIs to identify risks and opportunities
- Create, improve, and maintain analytical dashboards and spreadsheets tracking capture rate, price, and profitability across voyages, extensions, flights, and hotel nights
- Balance short-term revenue tactics with long-term brand value and guest satisfaction
- Provide insights on product merchandising and maintain consistency across all channels
- Support and direct Revenue & Inventory Analysts to optimize ship inventory, pricing, and premium cabin upselling
- Analyze large data sets and deliver actionable executive-level summaries
- Ensure compliance with global pricing and promotional regulations
- Enhance revenue management processes and tools to improve efficiency and profitability
The role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence Tuesday–Thursday in the New York office, with flexibility to work remotely Monday and Friday. Candidates must reside within reasonable commuting distance.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Analytics, or related field (or equivalent relevant experience)
- 5+ years of progressive experience in revenue management, pricing, inventory management, commercial analytics, or closely related discipline
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing pricing and inventory strategies to optimize revenue, occupancy, utilization, or profitability
- Strong analytical skills interpreting booking/demand trends, pricing performance, inventory levels, and revenue KPIs
- Advanced Excel skills including building and maintaining analytical models, reporting tools, and dashboards; BI or data visualization tools preferred
- Ability to analyze large and complex data sets and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for business and executive stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to balance short-term revenue opportunities with longer-term commercial objectives and customer experience
- Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills to influence decisions across Commercial, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Operations teams
- Experience leading, coaching, or providing direction to analysts or team members in a fast-paced environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Revenue management experience in cruise, travel, hospitality, airline, or other capacity- and inventory-driven industries
- Experience managing pricing and inventory across multiple products, markets, or distribution channels
- Experience with revenue management, forecasting, BI, or data visualization systems
- Experience with promotional strategy, merchandising, or demand-generation initiatives
