Veeam Software, the Data and AI Trust Company headquartered in Seattle, is seeking a Director of Global Sales Excellence to drive predictability and performance across its global sales organization. This is a global individual contributor role with broad implementation authority, reporting to senior sales leadership.
The role owns three primary mandates:
**Forecast Predictability & Sales Performance (35%):** You will establish and maintain a global view of forecast accuracy, identifying where errors concentrate across regions and how they trend. You'll diagnose root causes of forecast variance—separating process/behavioral issues (deal inspection rigor, stage discipline, pipeline hygiene) from structural and data problems. Working with regional sales operations and leadership, you'll lead improvement initiatives around inspection cadence, commit criteria, and hygiene standards. You'll partner with Finance to reconcile sales and financial forecasts, interrogate broader performance metrics (win rate, ASP, days to close, pipeline coverage, quota attainment), and validate top improvement opportunities before scaling interventions.
**Global Enterprise Model Project (40%):** You will lead end-to-end convergence of regional playbooks into a single global enterprise motion under executive sponsorship. This includes identifying and closing deltas between regional variants, scoping and sequencing deployment waves prioritized by impact, partnering with Revenue Acceleration and Enablement for deployment support, establishing measurement frameworks, and anticipating shifts in go-to-market structure to adapt strategy proactively.
**Sales Technology & AI Enablement (25%):** You will identify where the sales technology stack and AI capabilities can materially improve seller effectiveness, efficiency, and forecast discipline. You'll translate performance gaps into prioritized tooling recommendations, partner with Corporate Technology and Sales Operations to move initiatives into delivery, drive adoption, measure impact on productivity, and champion a customer-first view of selling motions.
Success in the first 12 months is measured by: improving forecast accuracy by one percentage point (baseline established in 90 days, measured via week-three commit vs. actual close), validating three global improvement opportunities with quantified impact, and deploying the first wave of the global enterprise model with adoption and outcome metrics.
Veeam protects over 550,000 customers worldwide across 30+ countries, making this a high-impact role in a market-leading organization.
