Salary: USD 100,000 - 140,000 / annual
Higgsfield AI, a rapidly scaling generative AI company, is seeking a Revenue Accountant to support its growing global finance organization. The company has achieved $1B in annual revenue run rate with 30M+ users worldwide and powers 390 Fortune 500 brands.
In this role, you will own the accounts receivable process end-to-end, working closely with Finance, Sales, Customer Success, and Legal teams. Your responsibilities span three core areas:
Billing & Order-to-Cash: You'll manage the complete invoicing process—generating accurate billing schedules, monitoring accounts for non-payment and irregularities, and maintaining AR aging documentation. You'll lead collections efforts by prioritizing accounts, following escalation guidelines, and collaborating cross-functionally on dispute resolution and payment negotiations. You'll also handle customer and payment inquiries proactively, resolving billing questions and escalating complex issues. Additionally, you'll support customer onboarding by ensuring correct billing information and payment term setup, and collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Legal on accurate contract billing.
Revenue Accounting: You'll support revenue recognition under ASC 606 with a focus on consumption-based models. You'll drive month-end close deliverables including journal entries, revenue reconciliations, and flux analysis for leadership reporting. You'll also support audit readiness and assist with the company's first financial audit by preparing schedules and documentation.
Process Improvement: You'll identify automation and workflow improvement opportunities in billing, collections, and cash application. You'll help develop policies, documentation, and internal controls to support rapid scaling, contribute to finance systems optimization, and take on ad-hoc process improvement initiatives.
This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, requiring three full days per week in the office with remaining days remote.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue accounting in a SaaS or technology company
- Strong understanding of ASC 606 and SaaS revenue recognition concepts
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced, high-volume environments with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and revenue automation tools (e.g., Stripe, HubiFi, Zuora)
- Experience with AI, cloud infrastructure, consumption-based pricing, or usage-based billing models
- Comfort using AI-powered tools (e.g., Claude); willingness to learn and adopt new tools expected
- Experience improving accounting processes and implementing automation
