Salary: CAD 55,000 - 65,000 / annual

Aviso, a leading Canadian wealth management and investment services provider with approximately $145 billion in assets under administration, is seeking an RESP/RDSP Registered Plans Specialist to join the Operations team in Toronto. Reporting to the Supervisor of Specialty Products, you will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Registered Education Savings Plans (RESP) and Registered Disability Savings Plans (RDSP) administration. You will ensure all plan administration complies with company policies, Employment Services Development Canada (ESDC), Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), and CIRO (formerly MFDA and IIROC) regulations. Key responsibilities include: - Serve as SME for CIRO RESP plans administration, providing guidance to Registered Plan RESP Administrators and ensuring quality of work - Act as primary point of contact for RESP plan administration and product-related processing (contributions, withdrawals including EAP/PSE/CWD/AIP, transfers, specialized transactions) - Review documents for accuracy and ensure transactions meet Service Level Agreement timelines - Complete regulatory reporting and filing to CRA and ESDC for RESP accounts (monthly, quarterly, and annual) - Participate in CIRO and ESDC audits, adhering to internal and regulatory deadlines - Review and confirm account setup on systems, with special attention to government incentive and Annex forms for RESPF - Manage trustee reporting and ensure policies and procedures are adhered to and communicated - Participate actively in projects, industry meetings, year-end government reporting, and audits - Create and maintain procedures and training materials ensuring compliance with industry and government regulations - Contribute to process improvements Aviso values innovation, partnership, responsibility, and community. REQUIREMENTS: - Post-secondary degree in business or financial administration (preferred) - Minimum 5 years of experience in registered plans administration in a CIRO (formerly IIROC or MFDA) environment - Industry knowledge of CIRO (formerly MFDA and IIROC), ESDC, CRA, and Quebec regulations - Completion of CSC or IFIC certification (asset) - Working knowledge of MS Office suite, particularly Excel - Experience with Dataphile (asset) - Ability to work independently and in team environments, including providing guidance and support to team members - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high accuracy - Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment meeting SLAs and time-sensitive deadlines - Verbal and written communication skills in English (required); French (asset)
