Fluidstack is building civilization-scale compute infrastructure for AI, acquiring power, designing and operating data centers at unprecedented speed and scale. The Modular team is bringing factory-produced modular data center designs from engineering release to rate production on a Phoenix manufacturing line.
In this role, you will own the electrical systems of the modular product end-to-end: power distribution, grounding, and controls integration from released drawings through production. You will be a resident engineer on the Phoenix manufacturing floor, walking the line daily to catch wiring and termination issues at the station where they occur and disposition them immediately. You will answer electrical RFIs same-day from the floor, then engineer fixes into the next revision so recurring issues are eliminated. You will run first-article reviews and electrical checkout in person as units come down the line, documenting findings rigorously to drive design and process improvements. You will close the loop between floor and design, feeding production learnings back into one-lines, panel schedules, and BOMs to keep the drawing set as the single source of truth.
You should have hands-on experience engineering electrical systems for complex physical products, modular construction, or critical facilities. You've worked on shop floors or production lines and are comfortable dispositioning nonconformances in the moment. You've supported production launches of your own designs and stayed with them until the line ran clean. Your drawings build clean—fabricators and electricians rarely call, and when they do, you fix the drawing, not just the unit. You iterate fast without losing configuration control, ensuring every floor fix lands in the released drawing set. You're equally credible in design reviews and at the station with a multimeter, and the techs on the line trust your dispositions. Bonus qualifications include PE license, working knowledge of NEC and UL 508A panel standards, data center power distribution experience, panel checkout and QC background, or strong DFM instincts.
