Salary: USD 165,000 - 218,000 / annual

As a Research Scientist, you will develop state-of-the-art algorithms and software solving complex scientific problems with real-world military applications. You'll work in small, innovative teams where research extends beyond academic publication to deployment in mission-critical systems serving government and industry customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing technical direction and expertise to guide team strategy
- Creating mathematically principled solutions to challenging information science problems
- Prototyping state-of-the-art algorithms in agile development environments
- Implementing high-performance software across tactical systems and web applications
- Using high-fidelity modeling, simulation, and flexible compute clusters to validate technology benefits
- Engaging directly with customers to ensure mission-critical success
- Communicating complex technical concepts to both expert and non-expert audiences
Required qualifications include an M.S. or Ph.D. in Applied/Computational Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Controls and Dynamical Systems, Aerospace Engineering, Statistics, or related field. You should demonstrate expertise across applied mathematics (differential equations, linear algebra, numerical analysis, optimization), engineering (controls, estimation theory, signal processing, machine learning), scientific computing (software design, algorithm implementation, testing, optimization), and probability/statistics. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance eligibility required.
