Landmark Bio/Artis BioSolutions is seeking a Research Associate in Process Development to support the advancement of cell and gene therapies (CAR-T, iPSC, AAV, LVV, and synthetic DNA products). This hands-on, lab-based role focuses on developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for advanced therapies. Key responsibilities include executing mammalian cell culture activities using aseptic techniques, media preparation, culture initiation, propagation, expansion, and cryopreservation. You will culture and process diverse cell types including iPSC, MSC, and primary human cells. The role involves supporting bioreactor operations, monitoring, and optimization of upstream processes. You will perform genetic manipulation techniques such as cell transfection and transduction using viral and non-viral systems. Process optimization is central to the position—executing experiments to evaluate and optimize culture conditions, process parameters, yields, and overall performance. You will prepare and execute laboratory protocols, collect samples, analyze experimental results, and troubleshoot technical challenges. Additional responsibilities include supporting process scale-up, engineering runs, and technology transfer into GMP manufacturing environments. Documentation and technical writing are important components: maintaining accurate records in electronic laboratory notebooks, batch records, databases, and protocols. You will draft and contribute to SOPs, technical reports, and process development documentation. Routine laboratory operations include equipment maintenance, inventory management, and maintaining laboratory readiness. All work must comply with environmental health and safety, infection control, quality, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline, with 1–2+ years of relevant laboratory, biotechnology, or process development experience. Advanced-degree academic research experience may be considered equivalent. Strong understanding of mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques is essential. Hands-on experience with cell expansion, cryopreservation, transfection, transduction, or related techniques is required. Willingness to work with viral vector systems (lentiviral and AAV) and biological samples is necessary. Experience with bioreactors or other cell-based process development technologies is preferred. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, ability to interpret experimental data, and collaborative mindset are critical. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail are expected.
