Magenta Medical is seeking a talented and hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join the growing R&D team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing life-saving medical technology within a fast-paced, innovative startup environment.
Key responsibilities include:
• Participate in design and development activities across all aspects of the company's medical device products
• Lead mechanical development tasks and sub-projects within the R&D team
• Design mechanical parts and assemblies, creating 2D technical drawings
• Generate test methods and design fixtures to support development and prototype assembly
• Conduct feasibility research and technical analysis
• Interact with suppliers and manufacture R&D prototypes
• Conduct test jigs qualifications and perform engineering verification and validation (EV&V) testing
• Provide technical usability engineering input for product design
• Develop mechanical user interfaces
• Provide technical engineering input for risk management activities
• Perform field clinical engineer (FCE) responsibilities as needed
This is a hands-on role ideal for an engineer who enjoys both individual contribution and mentoring others on mechanical development initiatives. You'll work directly with cross-functional teams to bring innovative medical solutions from concept through validation.
