Instructure is seeking a Renewal Operations Manager to own the end-to-end renewal forecasting and operations function. This role sits at the intersection of Renewals, Customer Success, Sales, and Finance, driving weekly forecast accuracy and narrative clarity for leadership decision-making. Key Responsibilities: • Own the weekly renewal forecast cadence, including pulling and refreshing the ATR (Annual Recurring Revenue) model via Google Colab, auditing Salesforce data, and maintaining the forecast dashboard and calculator for business unit leaders. • Build and sustain the weekly "Rhythm of Business" narrative—explaining forecast movements, account-level shifts, and business drivers. This motion has been running ad hoc and restoring it to a consistent weekly cadence is a top early priority. • Manage the Renewal Save List and save-play strategies for at-risk accounts, producing deal write-ups and win-back analysis for leadership review. • Serve as the source-of-truth owner for the ATR model and Forecast Walk, resolving data integrity issues, linking gaps, debooks, and amendment errors before they reach leadership. • Build and maintain the Google Colab notebook and analytics workflows powering the automated weekly forecast update, evolving tooling as the process changes. • Act as the connective point between Renewals, CS BU leaders, Sales, and Finance on forecast accuracy and quarterly/yearly target line-of-sight. Flag structural gaps (e.g., Sales/Renewals interlock) rather than working around them. Success in the first year means: restoring the weekly Rhythm of Business narrative and automated forecast to on-time cadence; consistent weekly forecast delivery; improved linking accuracy; a documented save-plays program with tracked outcomes; and establishing a formal Renewals/Sales interlock. Requirements: Must-Haves: • 3–5 years in Renewals Operations, Revenue Operations, or similar GTM operational role, owning a recurring forecasting motion end-to-end. • Deep Salesforce fluency for renewal opportunities, quoting, and linking; ability to identify and fix data breaks. • Working fluency in Google Colab (or comparable notebook-based scripting) and analytics tools, sufficient to maintain and troubleshoot workflows, not just consume output. • Comfort operating in a high-pressure, weekly-cadence environment where forecasts are due regardless of data cleanliness. • Strong Excel and Google Sheets modeling for building and maintaining forecast views. • Clear written communication, turning account shifts and forecast movements into leadership-ready narratives on a weekly cadence. Nice-to-Haves: • ATR or comparable renewal-tracking model experience. • Experience operating in a matrixed reporting structure.
