Slide Insurance is seeking a Release Engineer to power the delivery of reliable, high-quality software across its technology platforms. You will work closely with development, QA, infrastructure, and security teams to automate deployments, support CI/CD processes, and ensure smooth, secure releases from development through production.
In this role, you will develop, configure, maintain, and enhance automated build, integration, release, and deployment processes across nonproduction and production environments. You'll execute approved software deployments, validate results, troubleshoot failures, and document release outcomes. You will manage software versions, release branches, build packages, artifact repositories, environment configurations, and deployment traceability. Maintaining deployment scripts, pipeline templates, configuration files, and automation that support consistent and repeatable software delivery is a core responsibility.
You will configure and support CI/CD pipelines integrating source control, automated builds, testing, security checks, approvals, artifact management, and deployments. Monitoring build and deployment performance, identifying recurring issues, and implementing improvements that increase reliability and efficiency are key activities. You'll troubleshoot build, configuration, integration, and deployment failures, including rollback and recovery activities, and implement release controls supporting security, audit, compliance, and operational requirements.
Collaboration is essential—you will partner with Development, QA, Infrastructure, Operations, and Security teams to resolve dependencies, configuration issues, and environment constraints. You'll communicate deployment status, technical risks, incidents, and recommendations to stakeholders, maintain technical documentation including runbooks and troubleshooting guides, and drive process improvements that enhance deployment consistency, scalability, and operational excellence.
