The Regulatory Surveillance Analyst role sits within the Managed Services team, which reviews trade and electronic communications (eComms) surveillance alerts to support clients in reducing regulatory risk. You will analyze complex surveillance data, investigate potential misconduct, and contribute to product improvements that enable expansion into new markets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing eComms and trade surveillance alerts to identify potential market abuse, conflicts of interest, and other misconduct
- Decoding trader terminology and liaising with front-office staff to understand complex trading concepts and activities
- Identifying and escalating non-standard communications or activities that suggest potential misconduct
- Staying current with regulatory and market changes to recommend enhancements to surveillance controls and compliance frameworks
- Working autonomously on complex research projects that require data analysis and data-driven decision-making
- Contributing to product design improvements alongside subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders

Requirements:
- Deep knowledge of market abuse and misconduct patterns in financial services firms
- Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and ability to research and apply regulatory guidance
- Familiarity with trader terminology, surveillance operating models, and compliance governance
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated interest in Behavox's mission, market, and technologies
