Behavox is a data operating platform that helps multinational enterprises organize and act on data to manage risk, ensure compliance, and drive business growth. The company builds AI/ML-based solutions for regulatory surveillance, trade monitoring, and communications compliance across global financial services firms.
The Regulatory Surveillance Analyst role sits within the Managed Services team, which reviews trade and electronic communications (eComms) surveillance alerts to support clients in reducing regulatory risk. You will analyze complex surveillance data, investigate potential misconduct, and contribute to product improvements that enable expansion into new markets and client segments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and analyzing eComms and trade surveillance alerts to identify potential market abuse, conflicts of interest, and other misconduct
- Decoding trader terminology and liaising with front-office staff to understand complex trading concepts and communications
- Identifying and escalating non-standard activities that may indicate potential regulatory violations
- Staying current with regulatory changes and market events to recommend enhancements to surveillance controls and compliance frameworks
- Working autonomously on research-driven projects that inform product design and business decisions
- Supporting new and existing clients across multiple markets and regulatory jurisdictions
You will work alongside subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders to influence product design at a high-growth AI-driven company. This is a hybrid role based in the Montreal office.
Requirements:
- Deep knowledge of market abuse and misconduct patterns in financial services firms
- Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and ability to research and apply relevant regulatory guidance
- Familiarity with trader terminology, surveillance operating models, and compliance governance
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated interest in Behavox's mission, market, and technologies
- Ability to work proactively and autonomously on complex, data-driven projects
