Behavox is a data operating platform that helps multinational enterprises organize and act on data to manage risk, ensure compliance, and drive business growth. The company specializes in AI/ML-based solutions for enterprise data activation across multiple functions.
The Managed Services team reviews trade and electronic communications (eComms) surveillance alerts to support clients in reducing regulatory risk. This Regulatory Surveillance Analyst role offers the opportunity to:
• Review eComms and trade surveillance alerts and contribute to improving the Compliance product for expansion into new markets
• Work in a dynamic environment where you continuously learn about the evolving risk and regulatory landscape
• Influence product design at a high-growth AI-based company, collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders across the organization
• Decode trader terminology and liaise with front-office staff to understand complex trading concepts
• Identify and escalate non-standard communications or activities that may indicate potential misconduct
• Stay current with regulatory and market changes to recommend enhancements to surveillance controls and compliance frameworks
• Work autonomously on complex research projects, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions aligned with business goals
The role is hybrid, based in the Montreal office.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Deep and genuine interest in Behavox's mission, marketplace, and/or technologies
• Strong knowledge of market abuse and other forms of misconduct in financial services firms
• Good understanding of the regulatory landscape and ability to locate relevant regulatory guidance and insights
• Good understanding of trader terminology, surveillance operating models, and governance
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with excellent analytical abilities
