The Legal team at Revolut partners across the organization to provide practical advice that enables fast business growth while maintaining compliance and legal protection. This role is for a Regulatory Legal Counsel based in Berlin to advise on compliance and legal issues surrounding Revolut's financial features in Germany and the broader EEA.
You will have significant responsibility for Revolut's ongoing development and growth, with exposure to a breadth of work that is unique for an in-house legal role. Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising the business on compliance and legal issues related to structuring new and existing financial products (payments and banking)
- Drafting customer-facing legal documents for financial products
- Helping to structure and expand features while managing regulatory expectations, requirements, and applications
- Engaging and working alongside European and local regulators
- Handling significant and complex legal matters with short turnaround times
- Combining functional expertise with a results-driven approach
You will work in a collaborative environment with strong stakeholder management requirements, balancing the need to move fast with the need to stay protected and compliant.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
- Excellent academic credentials
- Experience advising on financial regulations in Germany and EEA-wide financial regulations
- Experience with PSD2 and CRD regulations
- Sound judgment, composure under pressure, and collaborative mindset
- Confidence making decisions where there is ambiguity or incomplete information
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluency in English and German (required)
