Derq is an MIT spinoff building AI-powered traffic safety and smart infrastructure solutions. The company leverages advanced AI and real-time data analytics to transform mobility and road safety for cities and road operators. Derq's patented technology collects and analyzes data from connected sensors (cameras, radar, traffic signal controllers) to predict and prevent road incidents, deploying edge and cloud solutions that make intersections and highways safer and smarter. You will serve as Regional Sales Manager for the U.S. Northeastern Quadrant, reporting to the EVP of Sales. This is a hands-on sales leadership role focused on driving revenue growth by selling Derq's intelligent transportation solutions to state, county, and municipal agencies, as well as strategic partners. Key responsibilities include: - Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets - Build deep product knowledge and confidently position Derq's solutions to government customers - Identify and develop new business opportunities through market outreach, partnerships, and referrals - Manage and grow channel partners and strategic business relationships - Lead and support responses to RFPs, RFIs, and other commercial opportunities - Build trusted relationships with government entities and key decision-makers - Maintain strong market awareness of customer needs, industry developments, and competitive landscape - Represent Derq at industry events, conferences, customer meetings, and speaking engagements - Maintain accurate sales pipeline and CRM data to support forecasting and decision-making You will work remotely with minimal oversight but must be based in the U.S. Northeastern Quadrant and willing to travel up to 50% within the region. Requirements: - 7+ years of experience selling Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) solutions and/or AI-driven transportation technology to U.S. government agencies - 2+ years of experience in technical sales - Proven ability to manage distribution partners and grow customer accounts - Entrepreneurial mindset with team-oriented and collaborative approach - Experience working remotely with minimal oversight and strong decision-making skills - Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills - Ability to work in fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively - Must be based in U.S. Northeastern Quadrant - Willingness to travel up to 50% within the U.S.
