ServiceNow is seeking a Regional Sales Director for the Detroit, Michigan area to lead sales growth and build a high-performing team. In this role, you will build and manage a team of direct Sales Executives, develop regional sales strategy in partnership with Sales Operations, and drive new business growth while maintaining and expanding the existing customer base.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and leading a team of Sales Executives to drive rapid new business sales growth
- Developing and executing regional sales strategy, including competitive analysis and go-to-market planning
- Actively engaging in territory planning, relationship development, and opportunity development
- Recruiting, coaching, and mentoring team members to drive excellence and performance
- Setting territories, quotas, and performance expectations for the sales team
- Managing accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting to leadership
- Achieving annual sales goals on quarterly and annual basis
- Engaging at C-level with customers to understand business requirements
- Building effective cross-functional relationships with Solution Consulting, Business Units, Professional Services, Marketing, partners, and executive leadership
- Retaining and growing the existing customer base through strategic engagement
Requirements:
- Experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving (AI-powered tools, workflow automation, AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact)
- Extensive track record of new business sales success with strong presentation and negotiation skills, including C-level experience
- Proven success recruiting, coaching, and managing exceptional sales teams
- Strong strategic thinking with analytical and financial planning skills to meet and exceed quotas
- Ownership of accurate CRM reporting, including quarterly forecasts and opportunity inspection
- Experience driving sales processes and effective working relationships with Sales Operations
- Ability to understand IT business drivers and the broader business context
- Ability to build long-term strategic and senior-level relationships
- Ability to adapt and work effectively in rapidly changing, growing environments
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Demonstrated ability to build self-motivated, collaborative sales teams that embrace overachievement
- Proven ability to champion top performers, develop and coach teams, and make appropriate talent decisions
- Proven partner relationships and networks with ability to grow revenue streams through partner ecosystems
- Ownership of pipeline generation activities developed by marketing or partner community
