Allica Bank is the UK's fastest-growing fintech firm, focused on serving established SMEs—a significantly underserved market representing over a third of the UK economy. The company has achieved success in commercial mortgages and asset finance, and is now launching an innovative cashflow finance product targeting profitable businesses without tangible collateral.
The Regional Lead will be instrumental in developing and launching this new cashflow finance solution, then transitioning to lead origination, structuring, and execution of facilities. This is a hands-on role combining product development with business development and relationship management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to product design and delivery for the cashflow funding offering
- Originating, structuring, and executing new cashflow facilities (£1m–£10m range)
- Building awareness and relationships within professional services communities
- Identifying opportunities aligned with Allica's risk appetite and return requirements
- Analyzing financial information and presenting balanced credit proposals to underwriting
- Negotiating terms with target businesses
- Overseeing facility documentation and pre-commencement requirements
- Advocating for the product internally across the bank
- Maintaining compliance and strong internal controls
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SME lending, particularly non-tangibly secured cashflow lending. You will have a proven track record originating and managing similar facilities, strong financial analysis skills (balance sheets, cash forecasting, sensitivity modeling), and an established network of business introducers in the SME financing market. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and attention to detail are essential. You should be entrepreneurial, believe in the opportunity to build a significantly improved solution, and be willing to work hands-on during product launch.
