Salary: EUR 60,000 - 60,000 / annual
Roadsurfer, Europe's largest campervan rental company, is seeking a Regional Fleet Manager for the North-East region based in Berlin. You will be a key member of the Regional Leadership Team, reporting to the Market Fleet Manager and working closely with the Regional Operations Manager.
In this role, you will lead all technicians within your region and provide indirect oversight of Fleet Managers and Damage Detection Experts managing approximately 1,000 vehicles across 10 stations. Your core mission is to drive fleet availability, repair turnaround times, cost efficiency, and quality standards across the region.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the Maintenance, Repair, and Fleet Transfer budget, ensuring cost-efficient, high-quality repairs across the region
- Developing and implementing repair strategies per vehicle based on damage reports and operational priorities
- Maintaining strong vehicle availability by coordinating workshop capacity, scheduling, and spare parts flow
- Building and optimizing the internal and external workshop network to improve turnaround times and cost efficiency
- Leading and developing fleet teams at stations (technicians, fleet managers, damage detection experts) to ensure consistent performance and technical capability
- Tracking key performance indicators such as repair cost, time, and damage detection accuracy
- Driving strategic initiatives for continuous improvement

REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree or apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or similar technical field
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management, maintenance, repair, or workshop management
- 3+ years of direct people management experience, preferably in a technical and operational environment
- Strong analytical and budgeting skills with a focus on efficiency and quality
- Confident leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment; travel to internal stations and external vendors within the region required
- Fluency in German and English, written and spoken
- Proficiency in maintenance or fleet management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
