Float Health is a Series A healthtech startup building the full-stack platform for specialty pharma home infusion. The company connects nurses with patients to deliver chronic condition treatments at home rather than in hospitals, improving outcomes and reducing costs across the healthcare ecosystem.
As a Recurring Care Specialist, you will be the operational backbone coordinating nursing care delivery. You'll interface daily with specialty pharmacies, nurses, and patients to schedule visits, manage communications, and maintain relationships throughout each patient's care lifecycle. Working across Float's proprietary technology and third-party platforms (including Zendesk), you'll handle high-volume operations: approximately 40 Zendesk tickets, up to 30 inbound calls, and 10–30 patient visit schedules per shift.
Key responsibilities include:
- Scheduling nursing visits using Float's platform and managing visit confirmations with accuracy and empathy
- Responding to and resolving Zendesk tickets with timely, accurate responses
- Answering inbound calls from pharmacies, patients, and nurses
- Collecting and uploading necessary documentation for scheduled visits
- Managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing attention to detail
- Communicating professionally via phone, email, and text to coordinate care
- Collaborating cross-functionally with operations, product, and engineering teams to share feedback and improve workflows
- Proactively identifying and communicating process improvements to enhance team efficiency and scalability
- Cultivating effective working relationships with specialty pharmacy and nursing partners
Float has successfully facilitated over 100,000 patient visits with 1,100 nurses across nine states (California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Washington, Michigan, Indiana, Georgia, and Ohio) with expansion planned.
The role is fully remote within the US, working 40 hours per week on one of two shifts: Wednesday–Sunday 10am–6pm PST or Saturday–Wednesday 10am–6pm PST (including weekends).
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1+ years of experience with medical scheduling
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Highly organized with strong time management and ability to prioritize competing tasks
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills; ability to explain complex or sensitive information clearly and empathetically
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, evolving environment
- Tech-savvy and confident navigating multiple platforms simultaneously with strong interest in learning new tools
- Mindset geared toward continuous improvement and operational efficiency
- Prior experience in healthcare or familiarity with medical terminology is strongly preferred
- Flexible, learner mindset; ability to thrive in urgency; strong sense of accountability and integrity; team-oriented
