Perplexity AI is seeking a dynamic Recruiting Coordinator to support rapid team scaling while maintaining a high-quality candidate experience. This is a high-velocity operational role at the center of the hiring function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end candidate experience from first touch through final decision, ensuring every interaction feels seamless, human, and high-touch
- Coordinate and schedule interviews across complex calendars, time zones, and competing priorities while maintaining momentum
- Serve as a trusted partner to recruiters, interviewers, and hiring managers by anticipating needs, communicating proactively, and removing friction from their workflows
- Operate independently in ambiguous situations: identify gaps, make sound judgment calls, and create structure where it doesn't yet exist
- Identify, initiate, and drive projects that improve and scale recruiting processes as the organization grows
- Manage logistics, administrative tasks, and ad-hoc recruiting support with accuracy and urgency
- Continuously raise the bar on both external candidate experience and internal stakeholder satisfaction
The role requires someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, moves quickly without sacrificing accuracy, and genuinely cares about how people are treated throughout the hiring process.
Requirements:
- 2–4 years of experience as a Recruiting Coordinator, ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth environment
- Comfort operating in ambiguity; ability to take initiative, make decisions with incomplete information, and self-direct
- High-velocity operator who moves quickly without sacrificing accuracy or attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with proactive, clear, and warm follow-through
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a rapidly changing startup environment
- Proficiency with various Applicant Tracking Systems (Ashby preferred)
