Antares is building mass-producible, inherently safe, deployable microreactors for terrestrial, underwater, and space applications, with a mission to make clean energy abundant from Earth to the Asteroid Belt. The Recruiting Coordinator role reports to the Head of Talent & People and supports a team of three recruiters. You will be responsible for end-to-end candidate coordination and experience, recruiting operations, and sourcing support across the company's hiring efforts.
Key responsibilities include:
**Candidate Coordination & Experience:** Own interview scheduling and coordination across multiple recruiters and hiring teams using Ashby. Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, ensuring timely and thoughtful communication throughout the interview process. Welcome and host candidates during onsite interviews, manage day-of logistics, and coordinate all travel arrangements (flights, hotels, ground transportation). Process and track candidate expenses. Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to anticipate scheduling challenges and keep hiring processes moving. Ensure interviewers and candidates have necessary materials and context.
**Recruiting Support & Sourcing:** Partner with recruiters to support sourcing efforts, identify prospective candidates, and build targeted talent pipelines. Support candidate outreach and maintain accurate sourcing activity in Ashby. Shadow and partner with recruiters throughout the hiring lifecycle to develop experience beyond coordination and move toward increased sourcing and recruiting responsibilities.
**Recruiting Operations & Events:** Maintain accurate candidate, interview, and requisition information in Ashby with strong focus on data quality. Build and maintain recruiting reports including funnel metrics, scheduling activity, and pipeline health. Support recruiting events, conferences, career fairs, and talent initiatives from planning through execution. Help build, document, and improve recruiting processes, SOPs, templates, and workflows. Maintain job postings across Ashby and internal/external systems.
The role operates in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where priorities can shift quickly. You'll have meaningful ownership from the start while learning directly from experienced recruiters, with opportunities to expand into sourcing and other recruiting functions as you grow.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- 1+ years of experience in recruiting coordination, recruiting operations, People Operations, or similarly fast-paced operational role (inclusive of internship experience)
- On-site in Torrance, CA office five days per week
- Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, Refugee, or Asylee, or eligible to obtain required ITAR authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
**Preferred Skills & Experience:**
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail with ability to manage complex scheduling, travel logistics, and competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong instinct for thoughtful candidate experience
- Strong judgment and ability to independently troubleshoot scheduling, process, and operational challenges
- High degree of ownership and comfort in environments where priorities shift and processes are not fully defined
- Process-oriented mindset with tendency to simplify and improve systems
- Genuine interest in developing a career in recruiting and learning candidate sourcing
- Experience in startup, high-growth company, aerospace, defense, nuclear, advanced manufacturing, or highly technical industry
- Previous experience with candidate sourcing, talent research, or candidate outreach
- Experience with applicant tracking systems; Ashby experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter
- Experience improving recruiting processes, documenting workflows, or implementing new recruiting tools
- Experience supporting university recruiting, internship programs, career fairs, or recruiting events
- Experience building or maintaining recruiting reports and dashboards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
