Auror works with leading retailers across the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.
The Recognition Technology Project Lead role is a hands-on leadership position focused on deploying Auror's Vehicle Recognition and Subject Recognition modules (License Plate Recognition and Facial Recognition technologies) across thousands of retail locations in the US. You will be the in-market subject matter expert on these recognition technology products, leading end-to-end projects with customers from pilots through full-scale rollouts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Project Management: Oversee scoping, design, and delivery of recognition technology pilots and rollouts for customers ranging from a handful of sites to thousands of locations. Act as project manager ensuring successful planning, rollout, and ongoing support.
- Technical Subject Matter Expertise: Maintain deep understanding of LPR and FR systems, deployment models (on-camera and on-premise), networking requirements for software in customer environments, and SaaS platforms, databases, and cloud environments.
- Technical Pre-Sales: Provide in-depth technical expertise during sales cycles, understand client needs, communicate technical value propositions, and support the commercial team with presentations and RFPs.
- Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to set up monitoring and alerting systems, configure and optimize deployments, troubleshoot network and hardware issues, and provide technical feedback for product improvements.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain networks of hardware and software suppliers, and partner with external integrators to ensure smooth rollout and system maintenance.
- Market Awareness: Understand market differences and LPR/FR technology usage across global markets.
- Customer Success Collaboration: Partner with Customer Success teams to facilitate seamless pilots and rollouts.
- Ownership and Communication: Take ownership of technical issues and questions, communicate clearly with relevant teams, and follow through to resolution.
The role is based in Denver with a hybrid flexible working model. You will need flexibility with working hours to support customers and internal teams globally, and travel to customer sites is expected, averaging 2–5 days per month.
Requirements:
- Experienced in rolling out and leading complex technical programmes involving collaboration with diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Thrive in lean team environments with autonomy and accountability for project delivery
- Exceptional communication skills with strong preference for documentation over synchronous discussion
- Understand commercial drivers and leverage business context with technical domain knowledge to support business objectives
- Think strategically to identify growth opportunities, new integrations, and partnerships
- Ability to pick up new technologies and concepts quickly and become an expert as needed
- Curious and excited about how AI tools can enhance technical workflows, improve efficiency, or scale support
