Augury is a leader in Industrial AI, helping manufacturers leverage real-time production insights to drive efficiency and minimize downtime. As an R&D Mechanical Engineer, you will own the complete design lifecycle of innovative IoT devices—from initial concept through production transfer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design mechanical parts, assemblies, and mechanisms for challenging industrial environments using 3D CAD (Onshape, SolidWorks)
- Create detailed drawings and models with proper GD&T and release management
- Design parts for injection molding, machining, and other classical manufacturing methods
- Perform analytical calculations and conduct prototype validation including mechanical inspection, stress testing, sealing, and field testing
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (hardware, firmware, algorithms, validation, manufacturing) to deliver scalable, reliable products
- Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships across Israel and internationally
- Support high-level system validation and transfer parts to production following product lifecycle methodologies
You bring a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and 3-5 years of hands-on R&D experience. You have proven expertise in machine design, manufacturing methods (machining, injection molding, coatings), material selection (aluminum, stainless steel, polymers), and geometric tolerances. You're proficient in 3D CAD, familiar with NPI processes and DFM/DFX, and can independently lead initiatives in ambiguous environments. Strong analytical thinking and a data-driven engineering approach are essential.
Preferred: industrial environment experience, applied physics background, IoT systems knowledge, and PCBA integration experience.
