Salary: USD 149,240 - 231,200 / annual
Veeam, the Data and AI Trust Company, is seeking an R&D Developer to own significant features in the K10 product, which specializes in backup and recovery of Kubernetes applications, databases, and storage systems. You will design, build, and test cloud-native software components with high code coverage, developing deep expertise in modern distributed systems and cloud-native technologies.
Key responsibilities include: designing and building features for Kubernetes backup and recovery; writing and maintaining data formats for data movement and storage engines; creating and analyzing product benchmarks, robustness, scalability, and performance regression tests; debugging applications using GDB and kernel debuggers; improving debugging and metrics toolchains; and contributing to the cloud-native open-source community.
You will work with distributed systems using languages like Golang, Rust, and/or C++, design and test secure networked systems using TCP, HTTP, and gRPC, and automate development tasks with Bash and Python. The role requires strong Linux/MacOS/Windows development experience and expertise in secure software development, including identifying and preventing common vulnerabilities.
This is a fully remote position reporting to the Kirkland, WA office, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States. Veeam is headquartered in Seattle with offices in over 30 countries and protects over 550,000 customers worldwide.
